St. Mary's Students Enjoy Annual WelcomeBack Event

St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point’s annual Back-to-School Ice Cream Social and Yearbook Signing Party was an enjoyable time for all! Students look forward to the annual tradition that takes place at the end of the day on the first Friday back to school. Yearbooks were distributed by teachers and popsicles were handed out by the Home and School Association with a group of parent volunteers. Students enjoyed signing one another’s yearbooks and capping off the first week of school in a fun way! Students are not required to wear masks while outdoors at St. Mary’s. "It feels good to take these small steps towards normalcy this year after the year we had last year. It was nice to see the students enjoying the afternoon in the sunshine," said St. Mary's principal, Tom Ruiz.

St. Mary Catholic Community School offers Junior Pre-Kindergarten (for three-year-olds) and Pre-Kindergarten (for fouryear-olds) and goes all the way up to 8th grade. St. Mary’s faculty teaches a rich curriculum supported by a good balance of faith, play, learning, and supplemental experiences. To learn more about St. Mary’s School visit stmarycp.org/school.
