St. Mary's Students Support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Students at St. Mary Catholic Community School recently participated in a “Wear Yellow” theme day to raise awareness about childhood cancer. The student council officers shared information about the mission of St. Jude during afternoon announcements  leading up to the out of uniform day.   The students raised $2,264.18 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These efforts fuel the hospital's mission to advance cures and provide care regardless of a family's ability to pay, making it a beacon of hope for countless children battling life-threatening illnesses worldwide. Rylee Horn, a St. Mary’s alum, is spearheaded the fundraising efforts along with the St. Jude 5K walk/run event that took place in Evanston, Illinois. “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a very special place where children are able to receive world renowned care for very scary diseases. Thanks to donors like you all, these children now have a better chance to live,” said Miss Horn.
