Little Chicks a Big Hit at St. Mary's School

Second Graders at St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point had a fun Friday filled with “hands-on” learning about the life cycles of chickens. Students in Mrs. Wysocki’s class got to spend time observing, petting, and holding live chicks in the classroom. Students sorted facts versus opinions about chickens, learned about the life cycle of a chicken, and compared hens and roosters. Little chirps could be heard up and down the elementary hallway!

St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point offers grade levels Junior Pre-Kindergarten (for three-year-olds) through grade eight.
