St. Mary Catholic Community School is proud of the accomplishments of their young musicians and their participation in the 2024 ISSMA Solo and Ensemble competition. Young musicians from the region gathered at Munster High School on the weekends of January 27, and February 3, to perform for a judge to be scored on their level of musicianship. St. Mary School is proud to announce that vocalist Grace McIntyre, and instrumentalists Joseph Shea (trombone), Grace Jamrosz (flute), Dominic Buonadonna (snare drum), and Michael Scalzitti (snare drum) were all awarded Gold medals, and a Silver medal was awarded to young flutist, Ayumi Artis! It was the first time performing in such a competition for the majority of these students. St. Mary's school band is led by Mr. David Little and the school's music director is Mr. Tony Rossi.Â
