Crown Point, IN: The parish community of St. Mary Catholic Church recently gathered for a Marian Procession and Crowning.Led by the Knights of Columbus and the Altar and Rosary Society, the procession from Hammes Hall to the church was joined by our First Communicants in their sacramental attire, all carrying white roses for placement in vases in front of the Blessed Mother. After installation at the front of the church, the statue of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, on loan to St. Mary from the World Apostolate of Fatima, was adorned by a crown of white roses and blue flowers by third grader Zoey Buczek. Fourteen adult members of the parish, having prepared using the program “33 Days to Morning Glory” by Father Donald Calloway, consecrated themselves to Mary and were invested in the Brown Scapular by St. Mary’s pastor, Father Kevin Huber.
