St. Mary's Students Bean One Another for a Good Cause

On Friday, May 6th, Students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 at St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point gathered to play dodgeball and raise money for La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago. La Rabida is the only children’s hospital in the country to specialize in chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities. The hospital accepts all children, regardless of their ability to pay. The conclusion of the tournament consisted of a parents versus students game! Eighth grader and student council vice president Will Huffman said, “It was a fun way to raise money for a great cause.”
