St. Mary's Students Treated to Popsicles and Autographs

Things at St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point are poppin’ already! On the afternoon of Friday, August 16, 2024, students spilled into the school parking lot armed with popsicles and yearbooks. The annual Popsicle Party/Yearbook Signing Party had begun!

Hardcover yearbooks, created by Mrs. Arianne Wong (4th grade teacher),  are ordered in May, printed in July, and signed annually in August. Students from first through eighth grades balance their books in one arm and sign with the other hand all while managing to keep their popsicles from dripping all over! What talent these Wildcats have!

The Home and School Association, led by Mrs. Katie Sabers, generously provides popsicles for all the students.  The party is the first of many traditions shared at St. Mary School throughout the year.

Evelyn Devries exchanges autographs with Diego Carrasco.

Petra Wittorp and Triffin Ploutis cooled down on a hot day at St. Mary’s School by enjoying a popsicle.
