On Thursday, May 22, soon-to-be graduates from Crown Point High School and Andrean High School returned to St. Mary’s School in Crown Point — the place where their educational journeys began.
These students all share a common bond: they once walked the halls of St. Mary’s as young learners. As they gathered, Principal Tom Ruiz welcomed them warmly, saying, “Welcome home!”
The graduates had the opportunity to reconnect with their former teachers and revisit the classrooms that helped shape them. During the visit, Maggie Mance shared with Miss Beth Flynn that she had been the inspiration for her college entrance essay. This fall, Maggie will begin her pursuit of a degree in education at Indiana University.
The school was filled with smiles and laughter as high school seniors, their former teachers, and current St. Mary’s students came together. For the younger students, these returning seniors are nothing short of superstars.
