Popsicle Party & Yearbook Signing a Big Hit with Students at St. Mary's School in Crown Point

Things at St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point are poppin’ already! On the afternoon of Friday, August 11, 2023, students spilled into the school parking lot armed with yearbooks. The annual Popsicle Party/Yearbook Signing had begun!

Hardcover yearbooks are ordered in May, printed in July, and signed annually in August. Yearbook sponsor, Mrs. Arianne Wong said, “putting that yearbook together each year is a labor of love!” Students from first through eighth grades balance their books in one arm and sign with the other hand all while managing to keep their popsicles from dripping all over! What talent Wildcats!

The Home and School Association, under the leadership of Mrs. Katie Sabers and Mrs. Linda Cervera, generously provides the popsicles for all the students who eagerly obtain signatures from as many other Wildcats as possible. The party is the first of many traditions shared at St. Mary School throughout the year.
